Welcome to the 2010 Christmas Tea

Hi.  Thanks for joining me for the 2010 Christmas Tea.  I will be your guide to show off some fabulous tables decorated so that women can share time together and remember the reason for the season. 

We listened to a great testimony from a lady whose wish was to be a mom.  After years of infertility she put her trust in God and became a foster mother and then an adoptive mother to 3 wonderful girls who needed her and much as she needed them. 

Before the tea/brunch we had time to wander around and enjoy seeing all of the tables.  Are you ready to be amazed? 

Ok let’s start the show.  If you click on any of the photos they will become even bigger.

This is my table.  I shared about some of the projects I did to create it.

My other friend Lynn did this table.   She is a member of the church that sponsored this great event.

This next one won 2nd place.

This one blue and black table won 3rd place.

There was a live blue Beta fish in this bright colored table.

This was the winner of the contest.  It was a mad hatter and the girl dressed up to match the table. 

And last but certainly not least was the Christmas flying (actually it just spun in circles) lit saucer.  Yep really.

If you are not too exhausted from scrolling and looking at photos I would love to hear which one is your favorite.  Mine was the Dalmation dogs.  I just loved them.

Front Porch Additions

I added some large plastic red ornaments to some empty pots by the bench and placed my trees in small metal buckets today.  I shared my other front porch decorations yesterday.  You can see that here. 

Here’s the red balls that add a touch of color. 

And my trees. 

I believe that is all I will do out here.  Glad to be finished with it.  Hobby Lobby was a mad house today.

Front Porch Decorating For Winter

The pumpkins left the porch last week and out came some winter greenery.  I have the containers filled by the front door.  I did simple and easy. 

Here’s the hanging metal container that stays next to my front door on the transom. 

And the other container.

A wreath hangs on the bay window.

My pillow is turned from the Autumn side to the Winter side and a sled is placed behind the bench.  That sled was my husband’s when he was a young boy. 

I need to find some containers for 3 little trees I have by the front door and possibly a few large red ball ornaments to put in the empty pots.  Hopefully I will find them this weekend and I will share those later. 

Updated additions:

My Christmas Tea Table post will be up Saturday afternoon.  I decorated tonight.  Judging is tomorrow and the tea is Saturday.  It was so much fun decorating with my friends tonight.
